The 8th China International BD Market Summit 2015

Time:2015-03-25 -03-27location:guizhou guiyangshi

To be a leading butadiene summit in Asia

Why attend?

What will be the trend of butadiene prices as they now stay low due to various factors?

Will cost reduction, technological upgrading, andrenovation projects pull butene oxidative dehydrogenation out of the status quo?

The excessive supply of natural rubber has significant impact onsynthetic rubberHow will the supply and demand be balanced between the upstream and the downstream players?

How deep will the influence of the anti-dumping and anti-subsidizing investigations against Chinese rubber, which have already resulted a significant impact on the rubber industry, go on the butadiene industry?

C4 resources have attracted attention at home and abroad. Where is the downstream further processing going?

In recent years, China has made noticeable advancement in shale gasdevelopment, though it is still in its infancy. How will it affect the butadiene industry in the long run?

Event Highlights

Annual event – The most professional annual butadiene summit in Asia

All leading decision-makers – Discussion of downstream expansion and focusing on new projects with domestic and international professionals

Keynotes speeches and discussions – Refined topics and panel discussion, presenting the most unique insights and the most comprehensive interpretation of the whole industry

In recent years, China’s butadiene industry has developed fast, asChina’s production capacity of butadiene has been increased by 1.5 million tonnes from 2011 to 2015, mostly utilizing the butane-2 oxidative dehydrogenation technology. However, many plants stay idle due to short supply of raw materials and high production costs. Almost all proposed projects are being stranded, with the timing for start-up/shutdown remaining an uncertainty. Is it possible to resolve the predicament through cost reduction or technical upgrading, or the both? What will be the future trend? Through the promotion and application of MTO technology and domestic coal-to-olefins projects, the percentages of butadiene / ethylene will be gradually reduced. It is expected that the situation of excessive supply will be eased gradually during the period of 2014-2020, and the commencement rate of butadiene projects will bounce back. However, how about the future of butadiene after all considering the weak downstream demand, the anti-dumping and anti-subsidizing investigations against Chinese rubber, and the significant impact of natural rubber on synthetic rubber.
